The Respect Life Committee is Sacred Heart Parish's pro-life, pro-family organization committed to the sanctity of all human life from natural conception to natural death by promoting the teaching of the Catholic Church through education, outreach, and prayer.

We are a very active and passionate group, and people of all ages are invited to join our events and activities where we spread respect for the sacredness of every human life!

Holy Hour for Life - Friday, October 2
4:00—5:00 PM in the Little Church
We invite people of all ages to adore our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament, sing songs of praise, listen to teens and children read prayers/scripture verses, and pray all will respect the sanctity of life from natural conception to natural death.

Spiritual Adoption, October 3/4
The Respect Life Committee will be inviting you to spiritually adopt a precious preborn baby after all Masses. We invite you to pray for this precious preborn baby for nine months. We also invite you to pray for mothers who reach out to the Center for Pregnancy Concerns for support. May we pray without ceasing that all will respect the sanctity of life.

Rosary Walk - Saturday, October 17

The Legion of Mary and the Respect Life Committee invite you to a rosary walk. We will meet in front of the Little Church and then pray a rosary and sing hymns to our Blessed Mother as we process behind a banner of Our Lady of Fatima while walking through the neighborhoods by our church. We pray all will respect the sacred gift of life from natural conception to natural death, for peace in our world, and special intentions.

Rosary for Life - Tuesday, October 20
Pray a virtual rosary for life on Tuesday, October 20 from 6:30 PM - 7:00 PM. May we all unite in praying all will respect the sacred gift of life from natural conception to natural death. Respect Life Prayerful Sing Along - Friday, October 23
We welcome people of all ages to join us for songs, prayers, and fellowship at the Respect Life Prayerful Sing Along on Friday, October 23, from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM in the Music Room. Child care is provided. Please bring a donation for the Pregnancy Support Center of Carroll County (diapers, wipes, baby shampoo, new baby clothes, etc.). 40 Days for Life Needs You (September 23 - November 1)
Sign up to pray during the 40 Days for Life prayer campaign in Catonsville or Lutherville. The campaign's focus is on saving babies from abortion through prayer and fasting. More than 26,000 babies have been saved since the 40 Days for Life prayer campaign, which has taken place in 64 countries and 1,000 cities across all six populated continents, began in 2007. The Respect Life Committee encourages you to pray for preborn babies, their mothers and their fathers, by participating in the 40 Days for Life in Catonsville any day Sunday through Saturday from 8 AM - 6 PM. The abortion facility in Catonsville is Hillcrest at 5602 Baltimore National Pike. The abortion facility in Lutherville is Femi-care Surgery Center at 1212 York Road in Lutherville. We stand and pray peacefully in front of the entrances that lead to the parking lots of the abortion centers. Holy Innocents Ministry 
A Burial Ministry for Families who have Lost Children to Miscarriage
Are you located in the Archdiocese of Baltimore, and have experienced a recent miscarriage (under 20 weeks gestation) at home, or at a local hospital that doesn't provide a burial option? We are sorry for your loss. In this time of grief, come to the Church. We offer information about burial and memorial options and resources on spiritual and emotional support. The Holy Innocents Ministry also offers a Memorial Vespers Service annually each fall for families who have experienced miscarriage. Thank You for Praying the Bilingual Rosary for Life and for Marching with the Respect Life Committee in the Reisterstown Festival Parade
The Respect Life Committee thanks all who prayed the bilingual rosary for life and marched with Respect Life in the Reisterstown Festival Parade on September 12. We carried banners of our Jesus, Our Blessed Mother, the Holy Family, and pro-life signs. We distributed candy with the Bible verse: "Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you..." Jeremiah 1:5. We thank ​God for the sacred gift of life. We hope many parishioners will join us next year as we pray together and march for ​respect for life.

Thank You for Your Contributions to the Mother's Day Carnation Sale
The Respect Life Committee thanks ​you for your contributions to the Mother's Day Carnation Sale. With the money raised, the Respect Life Committee ​sent $500 to the Greater Baltimore Center for Pregnancy Concerns and $500 to the Pregnancy ​Support Center of Carroll County, and we defrayed the cost of carnations. Thank you for your generosity.
